Where to farm leather?Follow

I was wondering what your favorite places to farm leather and skill up skinning were? Were do you go to farm light, medium, heavy leather etc. I would assume places with quick respawn rate, and mostly "yellow" mobs would be suitable. But which are the best?

Wailing Caverns. ALmost everything there is skinnable, and you can get bags full of light and medium leather.

Today I was in Stonetalon killing pridewings for their venom sacs. In addition to lots of light & medium leather, there were also a lot of green drops, too.

For higher leather, I like killing the wolves in the Hinterlands.

Special leathers:
Wolfskins - Hinterlands
Shadowcat hide - Stranglethorn Vale
Turtle scales - Dustwallow Marsh, Hinterlands, Tanaris.
Scorpid Scale - Tanaris

Light: Camp Taurajo and south. Lots of 2x drops in that area

Medium: Don't really remember a specific spot

Heavy: Raptors in Arathi or near Grom Gol. I love the raptors because you get the eggs and flesh to make some decent buff food, plus you get raptor hides which make the harnesses that DE into some decent dust.

Thick: Crystalvein Mine in STV. Fast respawns, 2x drops, and little competition

Rugged: Yetis in Winterspring. Fast respawns and they are so easy.

Tanaris is a good place for heavy, thick, and rugged leather, as well as turtle and scorpid scales which are useful for leatherworking (coast for turtle scales - and a good number of pearls and fish schools too- and inland in the south and middle for scorpid scales)
