I love mining and engineering, however, i've only ever done it on the Alliance, so, is it worth me buying big bags on my hordie and going to my hotspots in Ally territory or is their an equal in the Horde territory?

Looking for alot of copper nodes.

You can find plenty of nodes in both faction areas. Blizz is an equal opportunity node placer. I have had miners as BE, Dranai, NE, human, troll, dwarf, undead, orc, and tauren (guess I am predjudice against gnomes). None have had a difficult time finding nodes in their starting areas.

Although Eversong Woods seems to have more copper nodes than Durotar

you cannot beat the barrens for copper nodes, mostly because it is so huge.

Durotar is great for copper once you learn where the nodes can spawn. I would surmise this to be true for all of the starting zones (except the Night Elf one.) Mulgore isn't too bad since most of the hilly areas where copper nodes spawn are around the edge of the zone. There are also nodes in the two cave/mine systems that are great if you are high enough to beat the mobs in them. The nodes in Tirisfal and Eversong are too scattered but I would imagine that with experience you could work out a nice route that would take you by most of the node spawn locations.
