rep enchants and horde oilFollow

BC seams to be messing up my ability to get some of the enchants I want:

Enchant Weapon - Spell Power: Looked it up online and found it's a rare drop in Molten Core. How am I going to find a raid when all the lvl 60s are playing in Outlands, leveling to 70?

Enchant Weapon - MIghty Intellect: I guess this is the most attainable... I could ignore leveling and spend a few months building rep to purchase this... Or is that rep going to require I collect Molten Core drops?

Brilliant Wizard Oil or Brilliant Mana Oil - Requires Honored rep with Zandalar. I'm alliance, so I'm not even sure if I can do that. I've read you can build rep with them by fighting in ZG, but again that's lvl 60 40-man raiding. I read something about killing Hakkar... I really enjoy Sunken Temple, so maybe I should just run that 1,000 times. Is it possible for alliance to get honored with Zandalar; if so, how?

I like my enchanting and want to continue leveling it, but what is a Priest going to do with Enchant Shield - Intellect?!?!

Is it possible to get these enchants still? If so, how?

Short answer: Level up and get the better enchants in the Outlands.

The [wowitem=12944]Formula: Enchant Weapon - Mighty Intellect[/wowitem] is bought from an NPC inside of Blackrock Depths and does not require rep from Molten Core. This should be fairly easy to get to as people will still run BRD for gear and quests. Maybe not as much as before as the Fire Resist gear is not necessary at that point any longer.

Also, killing the Avatar of Hakkar in the Sunken Temple is not the same as killing Hakkar in Zul'Gurub. ST runs will not yield Zandalar rep.

I appreciate you taking the time to post, but I'm still not clear no this:

I'll go see what I can find off the trainers, but right now I'm limited to leveling my enchanting with +Str, +Agi, or "Enchant Weapon - Oh, I don't actually swing my staff" enchants.

Was this changed then? WorldofWarcraft.com, Allakhazam, and Thottbot all say it requires revered with Thorium Brotherhood (and doesn't that require collecting something from Molten Core... a LOT of something?)

Good to know, thanks. (Can you tell how much I've raided?... just hit 60 a couple weeks ago)

All the rep enchants you can get at 60 are not as good as enchants you can get in the Outlands. They also require rediculous amounts of mats so they're not something you would use to level up your enchanting anyway. Just level using whatever enchant is yellow or orange and requires the least amount of material and pick up the new enchants as you go. You can always go back to try to get the old rep enchants later if you find you still want them or need them, and most will be easier to grind out once you're a higher level. At least, that's my plan for my enchanting character :)

Formula: Enchant Weapon - Mighty Intellect

I believe it takes revered rep with thorium brother hood.

Its fairly easy to obtain, if you have the mats - first you must get your rep up to friendly, to do this you must complete the repeatable question for incendosaur scales (depending on your gathering professions).

http://wow.allakhazam.com/db/quest.html?wquest=8242, http://wow.allakhazam.com/db/quest.html?wquest=8241, or
http://wow.allakhazam.com/db/quest.html?wquest=7736

Incendosaur scales drop off incendosaurs, also they can be bought off the AH for moderately cheap. Warning: It takes a LOT of trade skills materials to get to friendly.

You will complete these until you hit honored:

Dark iron residue can be obtained from BRD, and at level 60 it can be soloed by some classes, through the first few parts. Groups arent that hard to find on average. Also dark iron residue, can be bought in large amounts for the AH for moderately cheap.

When you reach honored, your not forced to run Molten core for any reason whatsoever! But you will need items that drop only from molten core, for the turn ins to get the rep.

http://wow.allakhazam.com/db/quest.html?wquest=6643, or
http://wow.allakhazam.com/db/quest.html?wquest=6646

In which these prices may be going down on some servers, while other servers it may be very high.

That will take you to revered...

Any of these quests will give you rep as well:

Chances are if you dont run Molten core, you will not be able too now that the expansion has came out, purely because the raid groups are off doing other things. If your lucky you might find a guild who has an overabundance of these items and might help you out. But i doubt it.

This is available to both horde and alliance, I have not gained rep through zalandar so i can not elaborate, but I assume it has a similar structure as thorium brotherhood.
Once again, im going to say this is going to be near impossible now that the expansion comes out.

I screwed up my link in my first post. There is no "Requires revered with Thorium Brotherhood" note on the recipe so my assumption is that it does not. If you look at the vendor for [wowitem=19449]Formula: Enchant Weapon - Mighty Intellect[/wowitem], Lokhtos Darkbargainer, he does have items like [wowitem=20761]Recipe: Transmute Elemental Fire[/wowitem] which denote a required rep with Thorium Brotherhood.

Give it some time - if the MC mats are required for good recipes that are not completely supplanted by Outlands recipes, there will soon be small groups of level 70's farming the place and selling them on the AH. Or you will be able to find a group of like-minded individuals to pug it with you.

As for the Zandalar rep, the Hakkar you need to kill is the final boss in ZG, which is only a 20-person raid and wasn't that difficult for ungeared 60's before the expansion. It was a great place to learn to raid if you didn't have a bunch of heavily geared players running you through, or indeed couldn't get 40 people together to raid. But you also get rep for Zandalar killing any of the other ZG bosses, or indeed at lower levels (not sure what the cutoff is, but Wowiki will know) for killing all the trash mobs inside and I believe even outside of ZG.

And there is at least one non-MC drop that can be used to get rep all the way through exalted with Thorium Brotherhood, but it's very very slow - that's Dark Iron ore, which can be found in Searing Gorge, Burning Steppes, and BRD, and it's associated gem Blood of the Mountain which gives somewhat more rep.

Your correct on this website it does not say that the mighty intellect or elemental fire requires rep with thorium brotherhood. But I assure you that they do, elemental fire to honored and mighty intellect to revered. The site is missing it for some reason.

The guy who sells the items that do not require rep in BRD is, Plugger Spazzring, he sells Recipe: Transmute Fire to Earth and Pattern: Black Dragonscale Breastplate. No rep is required to obtain either, you can just buy them. He also has a recipe that drops from him if you kill him, I cant recall exactly what it is, but watch out when you do kill him, you will make the whole bar mad at you, and you will have a huge problem trying to get out of there.

I hoped that clarified for you.

Pre-expansion enchants are outdated, and no longer worth attempting to get if you don't already have them. Xpac enchants are not only better, but prices on pre-xpac enchanting mats are through the roof because no one farms them anymore.

You do indeed need revered with Thorium Brotherhood to get the Intellect Enchant. The cost of getting there has been decreased since I did it, but the mats involved are still very expensive.

Also, as far fewer people will be running MC now, they may be hard to get. On the other hand, guilds may now find that their stockpile is no longer needed as the items they were used to craft are now more or less obsolete.

Just a matter of keeping an eye on the auction house or perhaps speaking to people from various guilds to see if they would be willing to sell some to you.

Since noone really answered this part at all:

Zandalar rep is only gained from the ZG instance and items from there(as far as I know.. unless I missed something somewhere). It's also a 20 man not 40 but that is mote.

The only good thing about that rep is that at 70 it can be 5 or less manned if you want the recipies. Though... the rep was pretty slow in comming in 20 mans, 5 manning would probably be faster.
