Getting tailoring over 360Follow

#1 Feb 05 2007 at 3:45 AM Rating: Decent
What a pain. I have no patterns to use and everything that I could use seems to be a very low level instance drop that requires cooldown items. Can somebody give me a good advice how to proceed?

Around 360 is when tailoring gets very, very painful. I think at that point I was making imbued netherweave tunics. I would have been making the robes, because those actually sell, but unfortunately I was wearing one and they're unique. At least I got a bunch of large prismatics out of it.

Imbued netherweave tunics took me to 375. I wish I could give you a less painful option.

wish i would have read this thread before i started leveling past 360. made over 40 netherweave tunics to get to 364 (320+ bolts of netherweave) if i would have had the imbued recipie i would only have used 72 bolts xD

still, thanks for the tip, or else i would have continued netherweave tunics till they turned grey probably xD

At 350 tailoring, you can choose your specialization and learn new patterns. There is also a supplier in Wildhammer Stronghold who sells some higher level patterns. I'm at 371 tailoring and have three or four orange and yellow patterns.

Hm.. that's odd that they tagged it unique and not unique-equipped like the riding crop.

The point is that you could make more than one, and attempt to sell them. If they are unique, you can only make and sell one at a time. If you are wearing one, this means that you would have to vendor/DE it if you wanted to make another one to sell.

It's an alliance location in Shadowmoon valley. Not sure what the horde equivalent is.

Also, today in the Mechanar, I found a nice pattern, Pattern: Arcanoweave Boots. The boots provide +arcane resist, which may or may not be important, but what *is* important is the fact that it uses 8 bolts of netherweave (not imbued), no netherweb silk, 2 rune threads, and 16 Arcane dusts. Basically you use 4 more arcane dusts, but 3 stacks fewer of netherweave cloth, and 2 fewer silks. It is still orange to me at 365, so I hope to ride it until at least 70. If it goes yellow, hopefully I'll have picked up the robe pattern, also from the Mechanar.

Here's how you solve the "have unique, want to craft another" problem.

Sell the first to a vendor.

Craft the new one.

Mail the new one or stick it on the AH

Repurchase the first from the vendor's buyback page.

Note that if there is some server outage or your service fails, you'll probably lose the original. It's a remote chance, but it's there.

Never did find this guy. I believe I spoke with every single mob in Wildhammer and did not find any tailoring patterns. I did find someone in the Scryers village in Shadowmoon Valley that sells 2 patterns for level 360. They are on a limited supply but I was able to catch them twice and gave one set to a friend. If you are Aldor just find someone to buy them for you. Sadly I can't have an Aldor friend do the same for me as their patterns are BoP.
