Holy Snot, Did you bump a post less than a ½ hr after posting it? You realy should calm down and not do that.

That aside if you want to make a "LOT" of money as you posted drop eng and just gather. If your goal is to be a engineer and you would like to know what sells, and what is a decent way to keep some money in your pocket, Read on.

Deadly Blunderbuss: Horde Only. I have made about 300 gold all togather on theese guys. sure I have sold over 150 of them, and it has been over a LONG time, they have made me money(they are used in the quest Warsong Supplies, and you get Top Gold if you sell them next to the questgiver)

Aquadynamic Fish Attractor: selling them only works when you have full stacks, but I have made money on them. Just not big money.

Discombobulator Ray:Litarly almost 900 gold in these(over a year of selling them though, so do not think it is a fast money scam) because ANYBODY can use them. I had a PvE toon for a while, they do not sell so well there.

Gyrochronatom: they are used in a badlands quest, i have made a lil sparechange off of selling them while in the badlands.

SnowMaster 9000: Well Duahhh but you have to get the pattern, and likely the price will fall after chirstmass this year, as more folks get them.

Salt Shaker:Used by LW, they sell ok but you only ever sell one to each person. As they are not used up.

Thorium Widget: Used in DM tribute runs(and the far less popular darkmoon fair)

Sniper Scope: sell like hotcakes, specialy if the "Smelled like Hotcakes"

As well as Repairbots.

If you feel up to it sanding next to the guy in EPL you can sell the items for "It is asking a lot" to passers by who want fast Exp.

Darkmoon Faire had a new 40 ticket prize that allows you to make steam tonks. Mats are pretty decent and I was selling a bunch on my server the day after the fair. They get used up eventually (50 charges) so you don't have to worry about only selling one to a person and that's it. If the servers weren't down I'd be selling a bunch instead of typing on a forum lol... Demand seems to be way up on my server right now, I imagine the rest should be the same. Get to it! Unless of course you didn't get the schematics, then you'd have to wait another two months.

Edit: Oh yeah, there's also Delicate Arcanite Converters, which everyone needs at some point or another as a quest item to upgrade their gear. They sell on my server from 26-34g, which IMO isn't that great considering the arcanite bars required to make it are 19-23g.

Engineering isn't designed to make you uber amounts of money. With the exception of a few items, most engineering items are for use by engineers.

Hi! I'm Grimlynn, gnome warlock on Maelstrom (RPPVP). I got a quick start on Mining and Engineering when I made my character, and I've actually made some decent money for an early character with it. I've found that the people on my server love the following:

Rough Boomstick and Crude Scope: These two items will be the first things you can make that are worth selling to other players. The Boomsticks cost 3s plus materials to make, and I sell them for 6s each to newbies (with a Crude Scope attached) and to Enchanters, who buy them in batches to DE for materials. 6s may not seem like much, but when an Enchanter is buying them ten at a time and you're untwinked like me, it adds up fast.

Mechanical Squirrel: Everyone loves these cute little things, but you have to buy or find the recipe; I won it in the AH. The two Malachite are the only troublesome part of making them. 40s each (same as other little pets) seems to be the going price, though I've heard of prices up to 1g each on some servers.

EZ-Thro Dynamite: Here comes the BOOM! High explosive AOE fun for everyone, but you have to buy or find the recipe; I won it in the AH. This is only a moderate seller; EZ-Thro II is similar, but for higher levels.

Deadly Blunderbuss: If you play on the Horde side, as I once did, you can make good money selling these, because they are used for a Horde quest in Ashenvale.

Other guns and scopes: As you level up, you will find your crafted guns losing profits to dropped or quested guns, so they lose some value. But scopes never go out of style, and you can continually make money off them as you level up.

Quest items: There are several quests that involve Engineering items. You can make money in the AH from the specific items associated with those quests.

Materials: Blasting powder sells to twinks, and stone and metals can fetch good prices from anyone. So when all else fails, go mine a ton and load up the AH.

Hope all that helps!

Guess you just cannot help some folks. I listed 8 money makers, and Dragnorok
updated the list with one more. I am not sure what you think you will get out of any other profession. Congrats, you managed to get help, then ignore it and tell the folks that took the time to respond that the work they put in to awnsering you was wasted.

Thanks

Lol,
No, it's more like: Thanks for answering, and because of the answers I made up my mind instead of staying with engineering and thinking it's a fast money maker.
Don't make conclusions that hasty dude ;)

What are you going to do instead? Go mining and engineering. You can sell the ore for good money--especially with jewelcrafting needing it in large supply.

Engineering gadgets make up for lots of class weaknesses, especially in PvP. You do play PvP, right? I kill tailors, alchemists, leatherworkers, and blacksmiths by the dozen. And their professions don't make much money either because of the laws of supply and demand.

The best money maker for engineering is sniper scopes. Steady demand and good profit.
