I have heard (though I can't remember where) that dwarves have the racial ability to turn ore into bars. Is this true and, if so, how do I do it? I'm tired of selling the raw ore when it seems I could make more cash by selling the bars. I'd really appreciate any help with this. And yes, I did check the forums for an answer first, so please don't tell me to go check the sticky. It has been checked.

Lol - no, Angnor, this isn't anyone's racial ability. If you have the skill to mine, you also have the skill to smelt, which is the process of turning ore into bars. Just open your spell book, find the smelting ability under general and click on it.
You can train smelting of higher level ores from the same people that you train mining higher levels.

Dwarves do not have an innate ability to smelt ore into bars. It's an ability you get with Mining as a tradeskill. You can find it by going to your spellbook and looking on the General tab. To smelt ore, you just need to find a forge (typically near the mining trainer, to start with).
