I have mining skill 209, which im keeping, and I'm wondering weather i should drop Engineering skill 160, (spent like 5g total on making stuff and recipes)for skining. Just want your advice.
Also, I don't mind farming up the skill, as long as it doesn't take like a month to be able to skin stuff like level 55+.

If u want money, drop engineering for skinning.
It takes around 3/4 hour to lvl it up to 300.

if you take up skinning, since you have no skill now which uses your ore, you should be set for making good steady money.
depending on your char though, engineering might be a fine skill to have. eg, a hunter or rogue with goblin cables is useful.
You might consider keeping Engineering if you like PvP. (bombs, death ray, net-o-matic...) You can also sometimes make money on scopes, ammo, and items needed for quests. However, two gathering skills will likely be more profitable.
