Do alchemic potions stack with each other?Follow

Please advise whether alchemic potions stack with each other.

If I use Flask of the Titans with Greater Stoneshield Potion will they work together or replace each other?

P.S.
please don't laugh, write "you are noob" or smth. Comment if you know or provide link to forum topic where this point is discussed. I had a quick look through topics here and on wow-europe, but could not find answer.

Thank you.

That specific combination, I've never tried - I do know that in general, potions which buff the same stat do not stack - lesser stoneshield and greater stoneshield, fire protection and greater fire protection, etc. For most of these, if you try putting the lesser one on while the greater is in effect, you get the message that a more powerful spell is already in effect, so it shouldn't be that expensive to check.

Yeah i would think you would be fine to test it without fear of loosing your flask or potion, but as expensive as a flask is, i dont know if testing it is viable, unless your an end game tank or something.

If your an end game tank, i hope your getting enough healing that you wouldnt need the potion or flask. *I would hope.

I'm fairly certain that the only thing that doesn't stack with a flask is another flask (only 1 active at a time). Everything else should stack with them without a problem. That being said, not every potion stacks with every buff. Some potions that give 2 effects (like brute force) don't stack with class buffs (IE fort). Brute force will give you 18str and 18stam normally... or just 18str with fort is applied (overwrites the stam buff). Additionally, if you use something like elixir of giants and fort, it will completely overwrite the elixir of brute force.

Thanks Lord. That was a useful piece of information.

Potions that provide two stats will not fully stack with potions that provide one of the two stats.

For example, Elixir of Brute Force (+STR and +STAM) will only add Stamina if you are using an Elixir of Giants - the +STR from Giants will overwrite the +STR from Brute Force.

Likewise with Mongoose Potion / Greater Agility Potion or Elixir of the Sages and Intellect Elixirs.

Otherwise, unless it's a Greater / Lesser version of the same potion, they will stack.

And Flasks are limited to one active at a time.
