Switching Skinning to EnchantingFollow

#1 Sep 12 2006 at 12:18 PM Rating: Decent
I am debating changing my skinning(300) to enchanting. I just do not see were to go to get good farming for my skinning, but I do see enchanting making god money doing disenchants.

Any thoughts?

a) what level are you? considering your at 300 skinning im guessing your at 50 or higher?
b) is this your first character or an alt?
c) what is your opposite skill?

I never recommend enchanting for someone's first character but if your at 60 it doesnt matter that much. There are plenty of ways to farm farm farm greens for a 60.

I am level 60. I am, Mining;Skinning, plus 300 First aid and Cooking, plus 225 Fishing. This is my main character.

Oh yea, just switch it, you wont regret it - just gather up a bulk of leather mats before hand to use when you are leveling up your skill.

Its hard to say how much you would need right off hand but a few stacks of light, medium, and thick should easily pull you through to 225. Above that im not really sure what you will need, it depends on what route you go, goblin or gnomish.

If you want to become an enchanter The best advice is instances. Solo all the ones you can with very empty bags. A swing through all of SM should net you 30-40 greens and 6+ blues. Do that a few times and you will be getting the cash together. It will also net you a load of silk cloth and some mageweave which, if you have one, your guild tailor could turn into armour to dienchant. I had a lot of success with green silk shoulders and white bandit masks.

Good luck.
