[Leatherworking] Simple patternsFollow

#1 Aug 29 2006 at 3:18 PM Rating: Decent
Im currently a lvl 29 N.Elf with skinning 222 an leatherworking 126( yes, I neglegted my skill)
Im looking for simple patterns. Now I have patterns like the moonglow vest/Scale vest dark hide boots and so on. But these take's a lot of time to loot and in AH trading for cures or light hides and pearls kost me more money to make/buy em than the profit I get from these items. Do some people know patterns for my level that don't take this much time to loot or money to buy them and I can still level my leatherworkings in yellow or orange?>

The regular trainers should provide you with more than enough patterns to raise your leatherworking without having to buy expensive patterns from the auction house.

Get the LW 125 patterns from the trainer and farm leather. If you are just looking to raise your skill, don't make anything that requires ingredients other than leather and thread. Work a skill until your Leatherworking gets high enough so that it is green. By that time, you should be able to get better patterns to work them into the green. At your level with your skinning, you should have no trouble farming medium leather and occasional heavy leather. Don't worry about hides for right now, just stick them in the bank for later use. Farm the leather, turn all light leather into medium and focus on making on object over and over until it's green. Don't buy patterns or leather from AH, just farm from corpses. Since you're getting experience from the kills anyway, you might as well skin the corpses. Although this is too high for you now, two great examples of this type of work are the Ormer's Revenge and Crocolisk quests in Wetlands. They require you to kill a bunch of skinnable monsters, you get the grind exp, the quest exp, and plenty of leather.

This is how I raised my LW.

BTW, this also works for cooking if you care.
