Using Auctioneer for AH moneymaking, need some tipsFollow

Well I just downloaded auctioneer againa and man have they added a TON of stuff since the last time I used it, which was like 8 months ago. I don't quite understand all of it yet as I've only played around with it for like 30 minutes, but I was wondering if anyone could give me some clues into some of its features I can take adavantage of for helping making some gold off the AH. Thanks a bunch.

first suggestion, always check the current auctions, even if the price it suggests sounds somewhat reasonable. Lately, people have been evil to auctioneer users and have put the occasion auction up for like 10000% markup, just to ***** up the numbers. Second, I believe there is a feature built in that searches for auctions that are below what it percieves to be market price (remember the first suggestion in this, though, as it bases said price on the auction history it has compiled), but I might be wrong...been a while since I played the market, honestly

Crimson is right, there are a lot of overbidders that try to ***** around with the system and manipulate the market to their advantage. In the end, Auctioneer is just a tool, a very useful tool, but still just a tool. The real AH money is made by knowing the market. I know, because I have made thousands over the past few months on 3 different servers, 5 characters and both factions. I would suggest keep playing around with it to learn what you can, there are also several websites that explain some of the functions of Auctioneer. Some of the things I have found helpful are seeing how many of an item was recently scanned and the median price if more than 1 was in the most recent scan. Look for aberrations in pricing. I have only played for about 3 months, so I couldn't tell you the differences from 8 months ago.
