Trade skill choices as a warlockFollow

Ladies and Gentlemen of the forums...I give you! THE DELIMA!!!

*ahem* ok enough with that...but seriously tho, as a cloth user I went tailoring and to get rid of those well-loved outworn greens I went enchanting...

problem is is that I have a serious issue finding the money to train, and to buy the supplies for my tailoring and make greens for DE-ing.

Should I drop enchanting and take skinning or sumsuch? Thanks in advance...

I never get why people pick enchanting with their first character.
Absolutely not saying it was a bad choice, just not something good to start out with.

Do yourself the favor and get a collecting/gathering profession. AND YOU DONT HAVE to quit either ench or tailoring.

Fishing would be suffice. And there are multiple threads on here that will tell you the good places to fish.

And if fishing isnt your boat (give it a try before you quite enchanting). Give herb/mining/skinning a whirl. That is how must level to 40 and get their mount.

But trust me, you can obtain 100g to get your mount from fishing alone. Plus even more $$ to train ect.

OMG lol - well of course, very few enchanters can provide the mats for something like crusader. Forget those people they can go farm their own mats.

Honestly if its not your first character, well no big deal. Quit enchanting and take up another alt to send stuff too to de.

I made a level 10 priest and i send ALL of my boe's that dont Sell the first or second time around to DE. That gives you a whole other bank to store items and when the day is right you just pick back up enchanting and level it up.

Edit: Dont forget to send any enchants spells that you find along the way to this alt, that way your ready for that day.

Since you didn't take the time to read the sticky...

Q. How can I make money in WoW? (Torux)

A. The best way is to take two gathering proffessions (mining, skinning and/or herbalism) and sell the items you get in the auction house to crafters. Some people learn enchanting, then disenchant items they no longer want (as well as soulbound items from quests), and sell the dust, essence and shards to enchanters. Shards sell for alot more than dusts and essnces.

A1. This holds true for the first forty levels or so, usually up until you get your mount. With a mount, your money-making abilities increase ten-fold. You can move faster, gather more per hour, and increase your profits (and this is just with gathering). However, even later in the game, the easiest way to get money is to get some rare recipes and make items no one else can. Charge a base line and have people bring you materials; it's free for you and good for them!

Another good way to make money is to play the AH; buy low and sell high. I won't go into this daytrading technique; this is stuff for people with a lot of time and good market skills ^_^ Keep in mind a lot of people are upset by morals here: when you overstep the line and buyout everything to resell it at a higher price, it tends to become a pain. If you can do it, hey, it's all good! But odds are that a lot of people will scoff at your price and make you eat the deposit fees. A better idea: look for underpriced items and sell them at the current price. This is easy and effective.

Hmph...I'm not looking to make money at this point, i'm just concerned with its progress...And no, I didn't look at the sticky because I find that I learn more from a hard day's work. altho, I did make a lucky DE the other day and I got a small glimmering shard...sold it quickly for 50s. my skill's not good enough to use that kind of thing yet.

And secondly, I wanted to take skinning so that I can be more efficient at making items in tailoring that require leather...instead of wasting money and time on the AH looking for the quantity and deals I need.

Well for the most part, leather is cheap, especially at low levels for the quantity you would need. Its not a bad choice because its basically the only other gathering skill that is used for tailoring.

Of course you need gems for somethings, but those are never a guaranteed drop with mining. If i were you i would pick up the skill that will make you the most money. But hey if you really want skinning, just do it!

Lets face it, if you dont like it - or if in the end it isnt useful to you then you can just drop that and get something else.

true. leather is cheap. however, it's very expensive if you can't make enough money to train your class skills. Yet, he says that he isn't interested in making gold.

maybe when I get to the point where I can afford these things with ease I'll make them and sell them...but my server is pretty mature so most of the things in demand are higher level things. I really don't have to worry about leather anymore because I made another alt, Thowtis and made him a skinner and a LW...and for gems..the only gems I really use are pearls right now...which I can do easily when I fish for deviates and kill some turtles. I wonderif they changed the graphic for the robe of the void...off to check.
