and my tailoring is 261, I was thinking about dropping skinning for enchanting.

Skinning doesn't make me too much money as of now and i've been leveling fishing and first aid (the former is 116 and the latter is 291). Any recommendations on anything besides enchanting? Or as most people have told me, should I just stick with skinning?

Check out this nifty item, and see what it does, and how much it sells for on the Auction House/Trade chat. It might just change your mind.

I am a Skinner/Leatherworker myself, both of those at 300. I had contemplated replacing Skinning with Enchanting, but chose not to. Now I am quite glad I did. If you honestly are not making much money off of the skinning you do, then you are skinning the wrong things.

Try going to Un'Goro crater and taking down Devilsaurs. Devilsaur Leather goes for quite a bit of $$ on Auction House, I can assure you. I cannot use it, as I am an Elemental Leatherworker, not a Tribal Leatherworker.

If you want to skin The Beast, in hopes of receiving Pristine Hide of the Beast, you have to have 300 skinning, which you have, and either a Zulian Slicer or Finkle's Skinner, along with gloves enchanted with +5 Skinning.

I myself have the Finkle's Skinner, as it drops off of the Beast, randomly. It took me six skins of The Beast to be rewarded with that beautiful Pristine Hide. I refuse to sell it, however, knowing that I can get a beautiful Leather Chest crafted with it and several other annoyingly difficult materials.

I was a skinner /leather worker for awhile (till about lvl 30) then i dropped leather workign (wasnt making me muhc as i could usually get just as much fomr skins alone) and took up enchanting.

Now I'm a 300skinner and an 221 enchanter (i have the +5 skinning recipie, and a set of gloves with it on them for when i need them)

I make decant money fomr my skins as most of what i grind off i can skin (purposely) and i can DE whatever greens/blues/BoPs/soulbound that arnt worth anything on the AH. Usually i horde mats for along time then skill up and sell leftover mats for a good chunk of G (just made nearly 100G form cleaing my bank of various mats, low end and higher end mats)

I'll keep my skin/enc for along time, dont think i'll ever change it as its where most of my money comes from and without any real effort i make a goodamount of G so i can splurge constanly on gear upgrades and recipies for enchanitng.

I wouldn't keep Skinning only for the chance at the Pristine Hide of the Beast. I've done countless UBRS runs with my Hunter who has 300 skinning, +5 enchant and Finkle's and I've never had it drop. Hell, I think the black dragonscales and rugged leather you get along the run are a more reliable source of profit.

When I still played my Hunter I would occasionally buy the Devilsaur leather to craft the leggings, it cost about 3-5g each. Not really worth the time it takes to get the leather considering you basically run in a circle around Un'Goro looking for the stupid things. Being a Hunter with track beasts helped, but still, it sucks to farm and IMHO not worth the trouble unless you can make the Devilsaur stuff which actually sells for a decent amount.

Either way, at 60 you can max skinning in four or five hours anyways. So if you don't like the enchanting route its not like you can't easily go back.
