Best enchant on slow weaponFollow

#1 Aug 17 2006 at 9:55 AM Rating: Decent
I'm currently using the rockpounder 3.70 SPEED and am wondering what is the best enchant for it, i was thinking fiery but with slow speed kinda doesnt seem worth it. Should I just put a counterweight on it? LVL 47 enhance/elemental shammy.

Yeah on a slow weapon i would think that you wouldnt want to use a proc item like firey/icy/lifestealing.

You would want to pick something that does an effect, unholy/crusader/ect. But honestly on a slow weapon you would be also smart in picking something like agility or stamina that doesnt have an effect on the weapon.

Although +damage works best with fast weapons, whether one- or two-handers.

If you have a 2.7 speed two-hander with +9 damage, you get 3.33 DPS from it. If you have a 3.7 two-hander with +9, you only get 2.4 DPS from the enchant.

Personally, I would go with Crusader, if you have the money. Something based on a per-minute proc rate rather than a % chance on swing. But any enchant works well enough, in the end. Go with what you feel is most affordable.

i don't know much about shammies, but for warrs, also take into consideration instant attacks. skills like mortal strike, whirlwind, and overpower favor slow weapons with high top end damage, and the +dmg serves to push it a bit higher.

all enchants have a chance per hit. crusader is 1 proc per minute, and lifestealing and fiery are 6 procs per minute. these get changed into chance on hit based on weapon speed.

+ AGIL all the way why?
its + crit + doge
crits are way asom on slow weapons they tend to do a lot of damage
you want to survive the rest of the time so that doge is always great
at lvl 60 + 25 agil = +1,25% crit +1,25% doge not bad i got a 25% crit on my warior (in bes. stance) 22 in baltle stance

Life steeling fiere icy all get + % on slow weapons giving you more chance on hit
fast weapons get a reduction % they could even end up with a 1 % chance
