Was wondering if anyone knew whether the
"Mage Shield" spell took any of the Death Ray self-inflicting damage?

EDIT: I found in another forum HERE, that both Mana Shield and Ice Barrier absorb death ray damage. Can anyone confirm for my sanity on the latest patch if this works?

I can conferm that the dammage delt to you by the death ray is Physical in nature, it can be mitigated by a lot of diffrent means. Priest shields, VW/MD buff on locks absorbs 10% of the dammage, BG trinket (defilers talisman). Any effect that will soak up physical dammage will soak up the predammage done to the user of a deathray.
