I was wondering, does it pay more to be a miner, herb guy, and fisher more than if you were like a miner/blacksmith and so on?

In 95%+ of the cases, yes. Gathering materials > finished product that everyone else in that profession can make. The 5% when it's a no is when you find a niche in the market or have a rare recipe.

ive been very sucessful with herb alchemy(100g by lvl 25) but i really worked at gettin my skill up... i think i could have had just as much gold with skin/mine or skin/herb. either way ur gonna eventually want a crafting skill of somekind... but u could wait till ur over 40 and save with the gathering until then... just ur preference
