Trade skill chooseFollow

It's my first post here, so hello.

I play NE Rogue currently at 27 level, and i had learned and unlearned many skils (started at leatherworking + skinning, was low on money then chosen herbalism + skinning, i couldn't sell herbs so exchanged it with mining, then switched back to leatherworking) and i don't know whot to take now. I just unlearned leatherworking, because i noticed that i almost don't use it, because i find better gear at mobs quests etc. So i am with 190 skinning, and 1 free profession. What you tell me to take? As i said i don't need leatherworking, and i'm thinking about making some money with mining or herbalism (which is better to make money on my level?) or if there are any other proffesions that rogue can benefit from (engineering, alchemy?). I read that enchanting can make some serious money on high levels, and what means "high level" 30? 40? 60?

So i'm waiting for help from You and i thank all of You in advance.

Thanks,
Sariele.

Oh and i would like to add, that i play on Burning Blade EU server. It is low populated, and it's generally hard to sell something there for decent money...

I have about 5 gold now, and ~180 Medium leathers for sell, so that's all i could eventually invest in leveling proffesion (eg. enchanting).

As I just posted in another thread, I recommend skinning and mining for a first character. Check the auction house on your server first, but on most I’ve been on copper bars often sell for a gold per stack of 20. If yours is a newer server that may not be the case. But if so then try your hand at mining to make some money. Head over to the human lands. There are lots of iron nodes in the Stormwind/Goldshire area.

Later on, at least on my server, mining tends to become less profitable and herbalism becomes more profitable. So you might consider switch if all you are after is the money. But again, check your auction house and do some price checking.

as a rogue you could benefit greatly from herbalism because you can pick your own fadeleaf and swiftthistle.

Step one is to stop swiching porfessions, ride one out for a bit.

Swicing professions cost you nothing to drop, but the new one you take up cost some cash, as well as the cash you lost in investing in a trade you droped.

This was a good start for you, the opurtunity to make your own gear is a goodin(well at lower levels). I can see not being happy with the income(next to zero), but selling some items can turn a profitt(thoghend leather gloves for example). The trick to all professions is finding the one or two items that sell (usualy armor kits sell well). but remember no (producion)profession is going to shoot money in to your pocket, they all have to be worked, and this means it takes your time(that could be spend farming) if it were realy eazy, what would stop everybody from working it? and if everybody is doing it, who would buy stuff?.....

Not a bad choice, cept think of all the cash you just trashed by dumping LW(unless you learned next to nothing). The thing about picking flowers is that the low level ones jsut dont sell, so dumping this skill before 150 is you just not giving it a chance. as pointed out this will save you cash!!!!!(thats as good as making it IMHO) the beauty of this lineup is even if you cant sell leather or herbs, you are likely to find a leatherworker that will make gear for you using your leather, usualy they will do it for a nominal fee or free if the items they are making for you give them skill adds(would you pass on free skill adds to make stuff out of somebody elses skinns ?) the same applyes to herbs.

What to do next, sheesh I dont know, but I can tell you that droping porfessions like that is a drain on your funds. In your place i would take herb(and for god sakes dont get frustrated when peacebloom and silverleafe dont sell)Remember if you can get it in 5 min outside Org/IF, most folks will not buy it, the value is related to the time invested in getting it.

if you need money, fish for deviate fish and oilyblackmouth.
