I play a mage lvl 50 right now. I know i should have gotten first aid in the beginning, but i didnt. I was wondering is it even worth it to start now? Im pretty sure ill need it once i start raiding. My dilemma is, should i not worry about it... or get it now... or wait til im 60 then get it...

Just go buy a butt load of linen and silk cloth. then go to the trainer and level right in front of him til you can train something else. then train, level, repeat. That will get you up to mageweave which, at your level, you should be getting a lot of anyway. it shouldn't take you too long and you can vendor all your bandages for an ok (emphasis on ok) price.

Oh yeah, I forgot wool. My bad.

If your a mage...DO NOT buy your linen and wool...AOE farm it. Just head to VC and that should get you started. SM for Silk. ZF for Mageweave. And then you should be right on track.

You can probably make a bit of money running lowbies, or just farming anyways. Esp for SM. Great place to farm.

FA is definately worth getting and there is no real reason to wait.

I'm curious. I am new to WoW been playing a couple days, got a lvl 10 mage and not knowing anything about the game, I chose Alchemy and Herbalism, which i'm enjoying a lot.

The OP said that as a mage, he will need first aid at end-game?

Should I drop alchemy and do first aid?

Someone help explain please >.>

NOPE
First Aid, Fishing, Cooking are all all Secondary skills, you can have all 3 as well as your 2 primary skill choices.

Fishing is just money in the bank, even if you never cook one, some alchemy stuff needs fish, Oily Blackmouth, firefin snapper,Stonescale Eels. without fishing you will be stuck paying a crapload for the fish you need.

Cooking is great for just about everybody but a mage(you just make food). It still holds relevance for mages as the high end food gives some buffs.

First Aid...... all I can say is you MUST have this skill to raid. it also speeds up PvE game play a lot as well as being a vital tool in PvP(polly, Bandiad restart fight).

But the awnser is you dont have to give up alchemy/herb for First aid, the earlyer in the game you have it the faster leveling will go.

whew, that's a releif.

I can learn the secondary skills the same way I learned Alchemy and Herbalism then? I just need to find the profession trainer and train in it?

Thanks for the info. That's really openned up a new can of worms for me xD

most capitol cities have a trainer for all of them, there are generaly only 2 levels of training form standard methods, the 150 cap is unlocked by a book that is purhased, and the 225 cap is unlocked by a quest.
