Changing profession specializationFollow

I was under the impression that since 1.10 you could now change your profession specialization (Tribal leatherworking to Dragonscale) without starting the whole profession over again. I since have found nothing to support this. I asked a GM and was told you can but he could not tell me how as it was condsidered a hint. If anyone knows of this or how to do it I would be very interested in finding out, thanks

You have to unlearn the profession and start over from 0 to respecialize.

That’s what I understood from the patch notes as well.

Before the patch this was not possible. For example, let’s say you had taken Tribal leatherworking but later you decided to switch to Dragonscale. You drop leatherworking and level it back up to where you can pick your specialization. Before the patch you would still be locked into Tribal. But now you should be free to choose again.

Blizzard made it possible, just not easy. *smiles*

Ok, this doesn't work. I accidentally chose gnome engineering, what I wanted was Goblin. So I put in a trouble ticket. The first GM told me that I'd have to do what you all did here, wipe my profession and start over. Well, I did that and it still dumped me into the gnome path, so I put in another trouble ticket...the gm told me that there's something in the game that I have to find which will let me change my specialization, but he wouldn't tell me what it is...anyone have any idea?

Did you speak with the Goblin Master Engineer this time? Don't you need to get a GEEK card to learn Goblin schematics? I don't really know much about Engineering, never leveled that high, but just from a basic understanding, I think you'd have to complete the Goblin's quest instead of the Gnome's this time around. Sorry I can't help other than suggest that much.
