I’m planning to level up tailoring on a couple of bank alts so that my mooncloth production will drastically increase. To do so I’ll need a total of 76 stacks of silk cloth for the two of them. *sigh*

I was planning on flying to Southshore and heading up to the ogres for some intense farming. In your opinion, is this the best spot for farming silk? I’m sure it would work, but if there’s someplace faster I’d love to hear about it. I’ll be farming with either my 60 druid, in cat form, or my 60 rogue. It just depends on whether I decide to also keep a watch out for herbs with my druid or ore with my rogue.

Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

I've always heard SM is the best place to farm silk.

The ogers are a fantastic choice, my only issuse is the respawn rate, and i belive there are better choices for the density of targets, but none of those plaeces have wintersbite, or a quick stop to make a few pennies on the frost oil potion.

For me the fastest silk mine is the trolls south of hammerfall, their are just so menny of them that getting your silk becomes eazy. This is where i farmed for silk for the war event.

Thanks. I’ll have to check that out.

For wool, I’ve found a couple of “magic” gnoll camps in the Wetlands. You cannot completely kill of the spawn of these camps. You could have ten level 60 characters killing in that camp and they still could not kill them all off. Since I don’t have to run all over the place, farming wool is relatively quick.

I’ve found a worgan camp that’s the same way in Duskwood. I used them for mining medium leather for the war effort.

The small island of trogs in the loch, just before the island with the fort, used to be the same way. I loved that spot for farming linen. But as it was in a heavily trafficked newbie area, and it was a deathtrap for them, so Blizzard changed the spawn rate.

Centars in decolace are a good choice(for silk) becasue you can roam between the kolkar and migram(sp) camps and never run out of them.

Duskwood Worgen may be a good shot for skinning as well as cloth, right?(been sooooo long since i played a alliance toon)
