what other skill goes good with Enchanting?
#2 Jul 07 2006 at 2:42 AM Rating: Decent
well I don't know...
but maybe you can use alchemy to help

Transmute: Undeath to Water
Transmute: Water to Air
Transmute: Air to Fire
Transmute: Fire to Earth
Transmute: Earth to Life

if you don't have a gathering skill you'll may need an alt for the gold to get started.

Tailoring works well with enchanting because you can make green/blue items to disenchant.

Take a look at these guides for some pointers:

http://wow.allakhazam.com/db/guides.html?guide=393
http://www.xs4all.nl/%7Ebrt/wow/guides/skillupenchanting.html

But you are likely to have little money with tailoring and enchanting as your professions. Some people like taking a gathering skill as their second profession in order to make money to support their enchanting habit.

Talioring helps a lot in the early legs of the craft, but arround enchanting levels that Greater Eternal Essence start getten gobbled like candy the relevance of talioring starts to fall off, at that point it is almsot better to sell your runecloth and buy the greens to nuke. Selling Mooncloth is a great way to get mats to nuke as well. I have kept tailoring though 300 enchanting and I think it is a worth while idea.

But I did have a guildie point out that on older servers the Cost of ore and runecloth far exceed the value of the payoff of nuked mats at the end of the talioring profession.

Bare with me, this may be a poor example, but the logic is still relevent.

Runecloth Shoulders are my choice for my example... to make them you need 7x Bolt of Runecloth 2x Ironweb Spider Silk 4x Rugged Leather 1x Rune Thread. When nuked they have a healthy chance to drop the essense I want, but at what cost? 35 runecloth some leather and spider silk... but if instead of making the sholders and nuking them, if i sold the cloth, and some ore(or skinns, or flowers) i would have the cash to buy 2 AH greens that have the same possibliity of droping the essence i wanted. Not to mention that each of the 3 gatehring porofssions have a super cash money maker(and talioring has MOONCLOTH, thats eazy money, but on a timer some folks dont want to wait for)

I agree that fabriccraft is the preferd skill to go with enchaning, but I do see where if you were on a old server a gatehring proff may go great after you get to enchanting 275 or so.

I would't bother with tailoring, you can just buy thing at the AH for 2 or 3s each for the low levels of enchanting, and the things thay disenchant into sell for 10x more then the price you pay for them.
I'd only do this if I was wanting to get my tailoring up to.
Get a gathering skill and use the money for the enchanting mats you need then drop the gathering skill when you hit 300 enchanting.
