very easy and fast fishing questionFollow

My fishing is at 1. i've caught ONE fish in Rachet and I haven't been able to catch anything else since. That was about a month ago. Where should i go to get my fishing lvl up? I'm a lvl 29 undead priest. Its a quick question for a quick answer, so don't spite me cause i asked it. Thanks!

This drove me CRAZY for a while!

Look in your spell book - find the fishing icon and drag it to an action bar. Then buy a rod from a Fishing supplier.

Look for the skills page on this website to find the good sites to start fishing in. (I'm Alliance so I know only those :P)

Equip yourself with the fishing rod - swap out your staff for fishing rod.

Click the symbol of the rod on your action bar and you should see your character cast. Move the mouse pointer to the bob and right click when a fish bites. If you are quick enough, you will see the fish you caught and your skill will go up by one. If not - just cast again and be patient. Sometimes the fishing 'timer' runs out without a bite.

Fishing to me is a great time waster while you are waiting for the rest of a group to show up somewhere.

I have to agree with that, when you start out fishing is a bit of a pain. I thought it was always going to be really hit-or-miss when trying to right click on the bobber and then the fish gets away. Once you hit about 20 it gets easier and easier. Now (in a period of a couple days)I have gotten up to about 175 fishing (and have been fishing for deviates ever since in the pools/oases).

I gotta agree, orgrimmar is the best place to level up, I then went to ratchet at about lvl 50 to fish for oily's blackmouths then after about 100 to the barrens to get deviate. I also leveled up my cooking at the same time so that I could make deviate delights (it was worth the 5g I spent to get the recipe as I have probably made back about 10-fold). I am now at 225 fishing and waiting to hit 40 so I can get the 225->300 quest.

Fishing is unlike most professions. While you have to have a certain Skill level to fish in certain areas, lowbie areas never "grey" out. SO essentially you could fish in Darnassus until 300. Or so it is thought.

That being said. The BEST place to fish IMHO is in the barrens while leveling your fishing. Set up camp in the lake outside wailing caverns. The reason I have chosen this spot is due to the fact that you can start here at level up. You also catch a fair amount of deviate fish, which is a GREAT seller, at least on alliance side of my server. I don't know if its cheaper hordeside, but if you you may want to throw it on the neutral AH.

When you get high enough in level, I would move to feralas or off the coast of tanaris to level your fishing. These spots are good for fishing stonescale eels, another good money maker.
