Armorsmith vs. Weaponsmith, which is more beneficial?Follow

I just reached the point where I have to choose between armorsmithing and weaponsmithing, and I was wandering which path is more beneficial.

This depends on your character's class more than anything. What class are you?

I belive you can go to 300 without ever HAVIGN to choose, most folks prefer to choose ASAP.

The "Better" path is the one that your guildies didn't choose. Having a guild with 2 armorsmiths is counterproductive or 2 axesmiths.

I'm a paladin so I not only want to pick a specialization that makes me money but one that will produce the best items for myself.

You're a Paladin; you don't do much damage, so weapons < armor in prioties. You can take hits, and better armor means more hits taken.

Seems like armorsmithing is the logical choice, so I don't know why you are confused...?

"Arcanite Reaper... HOOOOOOOOOO!!!"
(Warrior is blasted apart).

Sorry, but I love those Illegal Danish movies :-P AR is decent, but no longer as amazing for a Warrior (due to the speed/weapon ability damage nerf a while back), and for a Paladin, an Unstoppable Force would probably be better as it has like 10 more DPS.

"Hey I can melee!"

-also see Deity the switcher for Arcanite Reaper

I would go with whatever you want. If you ask us what you think would be good then we give you a suggestion then want to go with the other one then why did you come :P. Just go with what you want

If you're looking to make money with your profession, you're gonna be disapointed. As more and more people play, you become less and less unique in the items you can craft. When this happens, there will be less demand for those items, which means you'll have to sell them for less than it costs you to make them.

If you're looking to be a good guild player, find out what they have already, and choose something else. Someone already said that it's counterproductive to have two armorsmiths.

If you're looking to make items to benefit yourself, you can only use one weapon at a time, but multiple pieces of armor. But remember, eventually you will transition to end game content and start obtaining gear from the raids you run, replacing everything you have crafted for yourself.

I went with the third option, but i ended up flipping a coin to make that decision.

I'm a Druid Armorsmith (laugh now -_-) and I find that it was painful to lvl up. THe mats, the new recipies, te amount it cost...aie.

I joined a new guild and found out they already had 2 armorsmiths -_- and they had better rep than me and hence more plans. So really it's what your guild needs. If you're not in a guild then I guess weaponsmith but be ready to shell out the yang.
