I have 225 skinning and i'm lvl 27 could i drop skinning for herbalism? (second skill is mining) (and i'm a hunter :P)

Oh, you wanted to know if it's a good idea? Probably not; then you need to toggle between two searches (ore and herbs). Might as well stick with skinning, but do what you want.

How are you planning on using your mini-map? Track beasts will help you find skinable creatures. Find Plants will help you find planta, Find Ore - same for veins. ...and if you are a dwarf, you also have locate treasure. You can only use one of these at a time. Are you planning on keeping Track Beasts up and mining and plucking whenever you run into mines/flowers? Or, are you going to keep herbalism or mining up and let those nasties sneak up on you?
