The question really is: what do you want?

You can hit 300 anywhere now; it's just a matter of time. Withthat in mind, you can pretty much fish up any fish, so pick your zone and go to it.

I would recommend Feralas or Tanaris to go Stonescale fishing (you'll need a lure; at level 300 skill, including the lure, you won't ever miss a catch there). You could go to STV and fish up wreckage; it's amazing how many decent things you can get in mithril-bound chests! Once you finally get to 300 base skill, take some high lures and try essence of water fishing in Azshara (and keep the elemental waters too; they'll be needed come 1.11).

The sky is the limit; what do you want to do?

yo like the second poster said, goto tarnias. Stonescale Eels take a while to get but when they come they're good monies. a stack on Gilnes is areound 17g.

Also i do some fishing in Twin Collossas. That's near Feralas.
I goto the top of one of the moutaines, To get there talk with the NPC at the bottom of one of them and she will port u to the top of it. There's a pool of water at the top which is pretty sweet cuyz u can fish till 300 and not get bothered To et down talk with the NPC up there and he will sell u an item that will slow ur fall for a few seconds. Postion ur self so that u all into the water below the moutain so u fall into the water. Your fall is only slowed for a couple seconds then u fall like a rock.

Istarted fishing there when i had about 190-200 fishin. Had a big iron fishing pole i ot from shellfish traps near desolace. Used bright something or other lures.

Dont remember the cooking lvls to these

Lightning Eel

Oily Blackmouth

Raw Mithril Head Trout-(Cooking)Can make healing food

Raw Nightfin Snapper-(Cooking)Mkae a 6mana regen every 5 sec or 10min

Raw Redgill-suck ***

Raw Sunscale Salmon-Make a 6 health regen every 5sec or 10 min.

Dunno if the mana and health regen foods stack or not.

It's said that the Nightfin only drop at night which is wrong cuz i've fished almost a stack during the morning and after noon. that just take a while to get. You'll get a lot o regills which'll **** u off.

Lightning eel are worthless as anything but pet food. I know they show up as reagents, but they aren't used as ingredients for anything. They do make pets very happy, though.

Oily blackmouths cannot be cooked. They are used to make Blackmouth oil, which in turn is used for Free Action Potion, Elixir of Waterwalking, Elixir of Water Breathing, Swim Speed Potion, and Enchant Gloves - Fishing
