Help with LeatherworkingFollow

#1 May 27 2006 at 8:10 PM Rating: Decent
Ok I have a 145 leatherworking skill but a 245 skinning skill. All of the enemies I kill don't give me the leather and supplies I need and if I try to buy the from the AH I end up losing most of my money on just a few things. Any help would be appreciated.

Well you are probably too low of level for the leather you need. The level of the mobs you kill is directly related to the type of leather you get. Gain a few levels, you probably can't equip the stuff you are making as it is now if you are having trouble finding mats for items.

Go into the Un Goro Crater and start farming the raptors and stuff there.

Oh yeah that reminds me when I dropped 300 herb and went leather I found a Hurricane bow off of one of the hyenas in tanaris, I was happy. My first solo epic.

Scratch that, you need to go to lower areas, lvl 25-35ish.

I had a similar problem when my skinning outpaced my leather-working.

I bid on a boatload of light leather and leather scraps at bargain prices in the AH. I only won about 1/3 of the auctions, but I was able to stitch together enough medium leather to get my leather-working skill up to where I could use heavy leather. Things got better from there (I was able to start making a little money with the heavy leather items).
