Hello my new engineering friends! Since starting the game, i knew i wanted to do engineering (for the fun factor!), and so i saved up until i could plvl to 250ish. Well I did it yesterday, so yay! i have the death ray and mind control cap!

Well to get to the point, because i lvl'd mostly on parts, i don't know which other schematics are worth going after (for usefullness or just plain fun). I was hoping some of you would like to share what your favorite things are to make and why?

As you probably gathered, i picked gnomish, and am currently at 250. My plans are to continue to 300, but i thought now is a good time to stop and smell the roses type thing

Thanks for your comments!

I dont know your class but my favorite things in the profession are the explosives. out of the explosives their are 2 that stand out for being awsumrific, Goblin Land mine and the portrobal bronze morter. Now I can see it now, "But CapitolG those are crappy", sure stuff like thourim grenades can be thrown on the run, and mith frag bombs have a huge raidus and stun time. All thoe things come with a heavy price in mats and the dammage is not amazing. firstly is the morter, what makes this bugger one bad mo fo is the channel time, sure you have to stand still, but it is almsot instant(possibly is) this lets my lock stun before the real AoE starts, but the morter gets my foot in the door, They are cheap, and every single one you build has 8 shots. Land mines are just cool, i like using them for BG defence, or any time i will be up against a huge pile of mobs, overall they are just fun.

Although it's not a schematic, one of my favorite high-levelish engineering trinkets is "Ultra-safe" Transporter:Gadgetzan. The description of this thing says it all. First time I used this, I came out about a hundred yards above Tanaris a little ways outside Gadgetzan, and proceeded to fall to my death. Ever since, I always remove all items with durability before I use it. On occasions, it will work and I end up in the actual transporter, and one time I was a murloc for a few seconds. Even though the mats are somewhat hefty, I like the instant travel and the unexpectedness of the item. Another item I picked up(again, not a schematic, sorry) because of the description was the Gnomish Harm Prevention Belt(forgetting that it was leather, and myself being a warlock, d'oh). So if anyone has ever used this and experienced the effect of being removed from the dimension, I'd be curious to hear about it.

Even though you're gnomish find a goblin engineer to make "Goblin Jumper Cables XL" for you. The normal jumpers only have a 10% chance of rez, the XL 50%. Some folks say they never work, but I say 10% or 50% is better than zero ;)
