Hi all,

I just began collecting the mats for:

http://wow.allakhazam.com/db/item.html?witem=17182

And i was wondering is there anyone else who has this weapon?
If you have it, on which server are you (heard that mats collecting time differs between servers)
And how long, in your experiance does it takes to collect the mats..

And last: there is no recipe needed for the hammer right?
if so..where can i find it..

And for all: Should invest the time to create it?

No recipe, and this is a beautiful weapon. Make it.

A guy on my server has it, i asked him how long it took to make. He replied with "4 months".

follow the crafted by part in the top right..these make the epic hammer, then you add something else to make the legendary...P.s its not artifact, those are red, its a legendary.

Not sure you know but to get this hammer you have obtain both Sulfuron Hammer which is crafted, and Eye of Sulfuras, which Ragnaros drops.

Hmmm, the time to make it? It depends on how nice your guild is :-D More than half the materials you need are from MC; the ingots only drop off Golemagg, and he can only be killed once a week. And they have a 12% drop rate. And you need 8 ingots (9 if you are crafting the items and need the recipe; and yes, you need a recipe to make the epic hammer).

Lava and Fiery Cores are also from MC, you MIGHT find them on the AH for dozens to hundreds of gold each.

Essence of Fire (25), Arcanite Bars (50), and Blood of the Mountain (10) can all be found outside the instance for very heavy prices.

To get the materials that exist outside MC? Not too tough, but it would take a while. If your guild is helping you, it will go faster, but solo it is possible if you start saving early.

If you do not have a guild that does MC, you will NOT get this item.

(PS: The epic hammer needed to craft the legendary has been sold 26 times for an average of 50,000 gold according to Allakhazam ^_^).

It doesn't seem so special to me anymore. On my server I have seen at least 15 alliance side only, so I would assume there are 20-30 on the entire server.

My assassin's blade is much rarer. ^_^

currently lvl 55 so i'm starting early with saving still i have to find a good guild who does MC, the guild enigma on my server is, accourding to my sources, doing these instances.

Only problem is i mostly dont have enough time to do these instances or entering these guilds for that matter.

Anyone knows a big guild with no apllication needed?

Sorry, but you will not be getting this weapon :-( You need more than just a guild; you'd be the new kind on the block. I'm sure they already have a good DPS warrior who can play more often and has better gear, and would thus make better use of this weapon(if you're a Paladin, you're even less likely to get this item).

The ONLY chance you would have of getting this is to join the guild AND gather all the non-MC mats first, AND make usre that your new guild would allow it.

It's very unlikely, in other words. Sorry :-(

Not technically a real item. It's just what people have done on hacked private servers. Even some hacked legendary items (like the "real" Ashbringer) aren't what are going to be in the game as they currently appear in the data dumps.

The obvious solution to the guild problem is to join a guild that is starting to raid, and grow with it. It would take a while to get MC on a farming status, but it's a better chance than joining an established guild of MC farmers.

Yes i know, most of my friends are in a guild like that.
My problem is my living situation --> a girlfriend who doesnt like computer, games etc. etc. etc. so my playing time is limited, i can play some but not a whole mc run.

I think i keep on dreaming and foccus my efforts on the PvP-way.
tnx for reply though

This is just some thoughts from the top of my head. All estimates to how much stands in your way.

Not being level 60 : Cost 2 Weeks.
Not having decent FR gear : Cost 8 Weeks.
Not being in an MC guild : Cost 6 Weeks.
Not having decent blues (assumption) : Cost 4 Weeks.
Not having much time on your hands : Cost 12 Weeks.
Not having ingots Possibly competing with other hopefulls for ingots : Cost 30 Weeks +
Not having all the mats : Cost 6 weeks.

This is not entirely the best way of looking at this, but its an attempt to make you see what lies ahead of you.

Of course - some of this stuff can be run concurrently, but you are looking at a long path ahead of you.

In fact one wonders whether by the time you get close to this weapon, whether you might be level 70 with a better weapon.

In the meantime there are alot more productive things you can do with yuor time - grinding faction and so on.

indeed!

That was my idea too, when i saw the weapon i wanted it badly (ofcourse) but walking the path of the hammer is in mine opinion (after replies from you guys and some research) not effectivly.

Indeed lvl 70 is almost possible Indeed the ingots are nearly impossible for me to collect Indeed not having FR (or decent FR) gear isn't helping for the "Quest of the hammer".

I'm leave this hammer alone and will focus on more important (and more fun) things to do, like PvP.
