You didn't mention what your other profession is. For the purposes of my post here, I will assume skinning.

If you are gonna leatherwork to get your mount... Dont. Go farm. Spending money to work a skill isnt the way to go.
MyTeddy is mostly correct here, if not very informative.
I have a couple of ideas for you, though each has its drawback based on playstyle, level, and playing time.
Approach 1: Fishing. It is very easy to make lots of money in fishing, but some people don't have the temperament for it. Skill up as quickly as you can and go to Steemwheedle Port in Tanaris at night. Fish stonescale eels, which sell for a gold or more apiece on most servers. Often you'll make 15g+/hour this way.
Approach 2: Heavy farming.
Farm the highest level leather you can in huge quantities. Sell on the AH. Will work, just takes awhile. Also: Heavy leather is used for Thorium Brotherhood Reputation, so it should sell quite well.
Approach 3: Hybrid farming/crafting.
My roommate did this one for his mount. After spending all sorts of gold to make a few twinks(myself and my 2 roommates), I learned that level 10-19 and 20-29 blues sell really well. Leatherworkers just so happen to be able to craft one of the more sought after of these:
Deviate Scale Belt. As a level 36 rogue, he soloed the Wailing Caverns to complete the quest for the recipe(
The Quest). Then he ran the instance a few times and skinned all of the kills, netting him plenty of Perfect Deviate Scales. He made the belt and sold it for 35g, all profit.
I know of one other item that you can farm the mats for to craft. It doesn't sell for as much, but it does sell for something like 15g and you can gain experience points while killing the monsters to skin. The item:
Shadowskin Gloves. At level 38, you can kill the Shadowmaw Panthers in Stranglethorn. Skin them for the Shadowcat Hide you need to craft the gloves. With some luck, you'll ding 40 at about the same time you reach the right amount of gold.
There are more reliable and faster ways to make money, but these are the three best that I can think of with the tradeskills I assume you have.

Also ive been seeing alot of epic mounts where u find thoughs?
These mounts are sold by the same vendor who sells your regular mount. You just have to be level 60 and have the money to buy them(base price before discounts: 1000g)
