I seem to think it is 30, but I might be wrong. I got it before 35, though. I remember being pumped I could get my Death Ray (240 skill required) at 225 skill (ie, pre-35).

Iron will be tough to find. If you're daring, you can try 1k Needles. There's some in Duskwood occassionally (oops, you mentioned that). The Yeti cave in Hillsbrad has some spawns, but I think the yetis are like 31.

Not that I can think of. Sorry.

Do you mean Citrine? Gems are found rarely in certain veins. Check the mining guide to find out which ones.

Gunna attack just a few of them their questions

3rd is there any thing that sells for a good amount amongst people that i can make im lv 203 engin. Lots, while you may not get skilups form them:
Deadly Blunderbuss:Sells well(horde only for a quest)
Bronze Tube:sells OK(alliance only)
Flame Deflector(but good luck getting this, I got it on my 9th try solo ... at 60)
Aquadynamic Fish Attractor:only relevelnt in whole stacks, as they are usualy limited avaiablity form vendors.
Discombobulator Ray(i got this while farming the deflector patern, they sell better on PvP servers)
Gyrochronatom:Badlands quest
Accurate Scope
Flash Bomb: used to scare druids and hunter pets in BG, they sell ok, but the pearls used to make them sell for more.
SnowMaster 9000:it is rare, so folks want one.
Mechanical Repair Kits:darkmoon tickets
Unstable Trigger: used in a EPL quest, not a huge demand for theese, as lots of folks skip the quest.
EZ-Thro Dynamite II:this stuff didnt sell till the 45 min barron runs, now i cant keep solid powder arround long enuff to make any for freinds, not when i can get 55 silver each(stick not stack)

the mats for the trade come from mining nodes, but remember some mobs drop gems, as do a lot of chests.

Level 30 is definitely the level you can specialize at, and 200 is the minimum skill.

Level 35 is when you can become artisan and go from 225 to 300 skill.

Arathi and Duskwood are the two places to mine. In my opinion, Duskwood is the best because it tends to be safer and the mines are clustered in a relatively small area. I have the area memorized. Once you get into the 30's, the town next door in Stranglethorn Vale (I forgot the name) has a cave that spawns iron, too, so you can make farming runs through the area quickly and collect lots of metal.
