I feel dumb. But, here's my question. I can't seem to enchant an item in the trade window. Customer puts his chestpiece in the No Trade window. I click enchant chestpiece (I have ingrediants to do this 16 times over) but nothing happens.

What am I missing?

You do know that once you click the enchant then you move the mouse over to the item then click?

Yes. I get a highlighted finger, click on the chestpiece, and voila -- nothing. Well-- I get a little higher blood pressure. But no enchanted piece.

Actually, on one piece I even got asked if I wanted to replace the reinforced + with an enchanted +. When I said yes, nothing.

Help???

This is not Lag.

When I enchant my own item, my hands work like I'm crafting but nothing when I try to enchant a Not for Trade item. It indicates that its about to be upgraded but nothing specific happens.

Thanks for the hints guys I appreciate it.

Erm, this may sound obvious, but you're not mentioning it.

- Click enchant
- Click on the target in the do not trade window
- Click TRADE
- Wait for them to click TRADE

Voilà, enchant :)

Danialdakkak: This is exactly the kind of suggestion I need. I can say unequivacally, I have NOT done those steps. I never knew enchanting required me to click on Trade.

When the person gives me the item--I trade it.
When I enchant my own item I don't use the trade window.

So, following your instructions I will try it tonight.

Thank you. <BIG smile>

Indeed that was the missing part. I never clicked on trade or if I did, my partner cancelled the trade for fear of trading the No Trade item.

Thank you all for you help. Further, Danialdakkak, thank you for stating what you thought was obvious, but to some of us it wasn't.

<cheer and toast from a new enchanter>

No offense, Grothmar, but you sounded like the biggest newb. Yes newb, a simple mistake if you have never done enchanting before.

Welcome to the wonderful world of enchanting, where the mats cost heaps, and the enchants cost more!.

Completely unneeded flame. I didn't touch enchanting until my 3rd alt and it was quite confusing at first. Sometimes people just don't know and need to ask questions, thats what this forum is for. Why you flamed Grothmar for asking a valid question, in the correct forum and even admitted feeling dumb for having to ask it, is beyond me.

You may have said "no offense" but why would you even post that if you didn't mean offense?

Completely unnecessary...

It appears to be so easy to ridicule another's naivete after becoming enlightened ourselves. I am tempted to call people the same names when running instances that I was once called for not knowing what to do. I try to remember to help people learn, although that has its own liability from those who are enraged by anyone who thinks they have something to learn. Somehow I wonder if those two groups of people might be one and the same?

Ditto Dakk. That needed to be said.

If you had bothered to read the sentence afterwards:

You'd have to be an idiot to miss that, or are you?
