The most money?, drop leatherworking and mine, or pick flowers.

now the most of the unprofitable leatherworking would probly be either elemental(shifitg cloke has less need, but a higher margin)or tribal, as most healers want one before they even go in to MC(no bop component driving cost down, but more need)

OMFG!! Are you serious?!?!
I just dropped my 300 herbalism in favor of alchemy :(
I thought that having a crafting tradeskill at like lvl 45 is good for money and making my gear
So did i just drop my 300 Herb and increase my LW to 250 for no reason?!

Well money dosent come form producion skills, money comes form selling to folks who do make stuff, this is no breaking news, and as a collector(two gathering skills) you knew that already.

It is kind of confusing how this escapes folks, but here is the breakdown. This is a MMORPG, the key words are Massive Multiplayer not single player, not a few, but the game has a crapload of folks, and in WoW tradeskills are eazy, eazy, eazy. Their is next to no risk(like failed attempts that eat mats) so the reward is low, this should not be a shocker. So their is stuff at the end of leatherowrking that is great, but you are not speical, and since leveling LW is so damm eazy, most guilds have 2-3 of each type(even tiny guilds) so in those cases, they wont be buying any big items form you, maybe some leather you put on the AH, but only a idoit will pay 3-5 gold to have a item crafted when a Guild member will do it for free. selling prufied deeprock salt can make some cash though(terribly consitnaly).

Now dont get to busted up about this, the same holds true for all porfessions, the folks who can afford the mats for endgame stuff(gear/enchants/flasks) usualy are in a guild, one with somebody who can tend to their needs.

This realy depends on you as a person, how you view gaming, and social circles. If you are a single player, with no guild, and intend to keep it that way, or if you are just one greedy SoB bend on making gold, Yes you just Droped the ball. The other way to look at it is that you can aid a guild, and your freinds, as well as doing some crafting of choice peices of armor for yourself.

firstly you shouldnt drop these skills for gathering at this point since u are close to 300 and once u get there u make more money than those gatherers with little effort. Go elemental make ur own gear and sell stormshroud for 100+g especially if u manage to get the gloves pattern. i got mine and sell a pair of gloves for about 150g consitently. I dont even bother skinning or farming the essence of air and other mats. i can buy at AH and still sell for about 40g profit and sometimes more my realms economy worked well for me as essence of air price went down and stormshroud price went up. For money and nice gear go elemetnal

and i forgot to mention that i can make cured rugged hides every three days which sell on my servers AH for 15-20g (if i dont use them for stormshroud)
