What should I do??Follow

I picked skinning and herbalism as professions when I first started thinking that it was going to be an easy way to make money, you know gather items you don't need and just sell them right. But here is what happened got to lvl 28 had my skinning at 225 and herb at 170 I wasn't finding many herbs or things to skin to my lvls up and the money I was making from selling the items wasn't all that good sometimes I spent more reauctioning the items than what I was making and I always made sure my price was just a bit lower than everyone else (yes I'm that guy sorry). Anyways I got bored and I really wanted to make stuff so idiot me dropped skinning and herbs for engi and mining, after runnin around for an hour and only getting 14 points in mining and the mech squirrel schematics I started to wonder if I made the right choice. I was lookin at what can be made by an engi and it all looks dumb or like it might not work half the time. I'm a rogue so some of the stuff engi can make isn't very helpful to me. Should I go back to skinnin and herbs?? BTW money is not an issue for me. I got about 400 gold with a 100g put aside for lvl 40 mount.
