A noob question about enchanting.Follow

Hey, I'm sorry if this is a a really newbie question about enchanting, but I've never really looked into enchanting before.

Here goes.

I have a weapon I am currently using which is obviously BoP and I wish to get the weapon enchanted. My question is, when you get someone to enchant your stuff, do you have to actually pass it over to them? or how is it done?

I also have some other stuff I wanted enchanted as well, but it is worth a fair bit, and I wouldn't feel comfortable just handing them over to someone.

Anyhow, that's my question. Sorry if it's stupid.
