Pattern: Shifting CloakFollow

Luckily enough, this came out of Knot's Cache when my party was in Dire Maul last evening. Since I was the only Leatherworker, they let me have it. My LW skill is not yet 225, so I haven't chosen Elemental yet. I kind of slacked on LW because I was more focused on PVPing and such. But now I have a reason to cap my LW. and plus, this cape (for me; I'm a rogue) is really sweet.

http://wow.allakhazam.com/item.html?witem=18519

So my question is, is it worth it to cap my ELW to 300 and be able to make this cape or is it just not worth it and should I sell the pattern and split the money b/t my guild? Would I be better off buying this cape from the AH?

Thanks!

It's up to you, they are nice to have, but because one of the materials is BoP you'll have to run scholo a lot to keep a steady supply of them to craft them for people. It's a pretty nice cape, but there definitely are better end game items for any class that would use this. There was a discussion about this needing a buff in a trade skill forum that I was reading. Partially because things like hide of the wild were much better for their respective classes. Mat prices are pretty high, and you wont be able to solo farm the elementals that drop the needed guardian stones.

I would personally still keep it, just because it's cool to be able to craft an epic item. However, realize that you probably won't sell a ton of them, and they probably won't be all that profitable. You'll spend a lot of time farming just for the mats to make yours.

keep it. you say "crafting shifting cloak" in trade channel, people bring you the mats, you charge them for the scholo run and then after you charge them for the crafting. very lucrative.

unless you party was only guildies, their is notihng worse than the guy that says they will use something, then puts it on the AH for cash. Secondly, the cloke rocks, if you do lots of ZG/mc/AQ/BWL it will be outdone, otherwise you are sitting pretty.

Shifting cloke rocks becasue of the three epic clokes, that one sells the best. Hide of the wild, some folks will bring you the mats and have you assabmle them, and since everything can be bought(no BoP ingreedants)their is a finiate price, the shifting cloke, diffrent ball o wax. The skin of shadow is the diffrence here, nobody else can farm it for you, and that gives it value. I have done meny O stealth run to get the skins for my guildies rogue.

IMHO level LW, and sell theese things, foklks make a killing on them.

hah, yes full of guildies, and if I did happen to sell the pattern we would split the profit, that was already discussed in our guild rules plenty of times. I've had ppl ninja loot stuff from underneath me so I know what it feels like, and I would never consider such a thing. I've already decided to keep this because several members want this cape.

exelent, now the question is do you have enuff sneeky guildies to make it happen?
3 rogues/2 druids or 3 druids/2 rogues(I prefer more DPS) make a exelent stealth run, we had them down to about 25 min each.
