Thanks, totally forgot to search :) Un'goro definitely seems the place to be. Thanks again.

Un'goro is definitely the best place outside of instances. If you wait for the elemental invasion, you'll have a better chance too; they have around a 5% drop rate, while the normal elementals have around a 2%.

When does the invasion happen? I saw it commented upon when i searched for the Essence, but not really any details about it. Someone just mentioned that its part of a 'World event' and that they disapear when their boss is killed.

And you could have read the thread. That had already been covered.

So back on topic yes Ungoro's the place to go, buuut if you find it's being over farmed while you are there try non-peak or unsociable hours. When you have Fire Plume Ridge all to yourself you can pretty much continually grind them.

As a side note too you may not know but the Heart of Fire that drop of the elementals can now be transmuted by Alchemists who are friendly with the Thorium Brotherhood into 3 Elemental Fire... a nice little bonus

Can kill entropic Beasts in the middle part of felwood for essence of fire every 100th kill

I have got about a 2% dorp rate, off the beast, and slightly higher off the horrors.

They only drop off level 50+ fire elementals. Elemental fires can be farmed in the highlands, though, and go for around a gold a piece on my server.

Yeah, the circle of fire elementals in Arathi Highlands drops elemental fire every now and then. I killed them all off a while back and picked up 2 elemental fire for my troubles when I first got elemental leatherworking...before I realized THOSE elementals don't drop the elemental components I needed. :(
Which brings me to my question.
Is it even possible for a level 48 rogue to farm mats needed for elemental leatherworking? Prices in the AH are so crazy for things like Heart of Fire and Core of Earth. Maybe if I'm lucky I could kill some of the stuff in Un'Goro Crater...

Since this seems to be a question about viable mobs for a Rogue of your level to solo, you may be better served asking this question in the Rogue Forum.

Hey, I have the same problem with people accusing me of frowning. I am not ugly by any means, but the corners of my mouth turn down in repose and people are always telling me to smile. My wife used to do it to me all the time, but she finally got the message when I asked her if she really liked being married.

And why do people think I should smile? I can't see myself, so it must be for their benefit. Like you said, they ought to mind their own business. What if I had just suffered some horrible loss? Wouldn't it be embarassing to blythely tell someone to "Cheer up!" and have them say, "My family was just killed in a car crash"?
