Engineering, Stop Worrying!Follow

All I Ever Hear Or See Is People Wondering If They Can Make A Living Engineering. The Thing Is You Probably Can"t And if You Can It Takes Alot Longer And More Money To Get Mats To Make In Demand Things. But I As An Engineer Love it, At Low Levels Exploding Sheep Are Great Fun, And Target Dummies Are Very Usefly Too. All Im Saying Is Engineering Is Alot More About Fun Than Money, And Honostly, Isnt That What We Play Games For?

While I agree, I will agrue that the no money point. No producion profession in the game just shovels money at you(alchemy is close), you have to work each one. Even a alchemest needs to post stuff at the AH, Note what dosent sell, what dose,weather selling just the herbs is better than the potions. Unfortunatly my porfession has been infected with a sickness, a bad case of the "spoil sports"(usualy found in childern under 8). Their is a general concensus that because most of the items in the profession can not be used by non engineers, that it wont sell. The solution is eazy, do'nt sell that stuff; Was that not eazy? Sell the items that are needed for quests, and you will have plenty of money(way more than a smith/enchanter/leatherworker).

2 mounts off of selling Deadly bulunderbuss at 50 silver each, yup 400 of them, and I still sell them at level 60. Hi-Explosive bombs are my new money maker, used in a logistics quest as well as "It's asking a lot", Arcnite converters are the new hottness(used in armor upgrade quest). I made 50 gold selling a cluster launcher and a few packs of rockets(stuff I learned how to make durring the festival of lights) in under 2 hrs of work.

So to those who say no money in the trade, I say think again.

Note, I sell feild repair bots for more than the cost of the mats in the AH.

Get engineering to 285.

Buy Arcanite Bars (on my server, up to 35 gold... up from 25 before). Alternatively buy Arcane Crystals, get a transmute, and then get the Arcanite Bars (this takes more time, but you actually save like 5 gold in the end).

Make Delicate Arcanite... Converters, I think? Forget the name.

Sell for inflated prices.

Let me break it down.

Arcane Crystal (25 gold) + Thorium Bar (50 silver) + Transmute (5 gold) + Ironweb Spider Silk (1g 50s) = 32 gold total cost.

One Delicate Arcanite Converter = 50 gold.

That is 18 gold profit. Or, if you go directly from the AH...

Arcanite Bar (36 gold) + Ironweb Spider Silk (1g 50s) = 37g 50s cost. 12g 50s profit, and it takes 2 minutes.


Note, this will only last until either other engineers wise up, the market is flooded, or the craze over tier .5 items dies down. Until then, go nuts and enjoy :-P
