Question about smithingFollow

#1 Apr 01 2006 at 12:30 AM Rating: Decent
I've started smithing on my new warrior and am having a bit of trouble leveling my blacksmithing. Is there a better way than just plugging away crafting armor, weapons etc. and sell them to vendors? Are there any low level items that sell well on the auction house? Any help is appreciated.

Im a lvl 35 now and have my smithing up to 195. The first things that you make are useless in AH and are vendor trash imo. The fastest way that I found is to find another source of income and buy or mine the materials needed for leveling. I always work on the orange and yellow items because they almost always give you a skill point. Once you get up there, there are a few items that you can sell in AH. At lvl 175 I was making items like the Green Iron Hauberk that sells for about 9g, but costs almost that much to buy mats if you don't already have them. I believe that it is fairly costly to get up there, but very rewarding once you get there. GL

Im now at 273 in smithing and have found that the only way you can make money is if you mine your own stuff, until you get to the weaponsmith/armoursmith level, and even then its hard work.

Sometimes I wonder if the people who really make money are those who mine and sell the ore to those who are desparate to level in blacksmithing!
