Geez, good question.

I am also a master weaponsmith, and Honored Member of the Mitril Order, and I specialize in swords.

I too am having touble finding the plans for advance swords.

I pride myself on being able to make everything, so I have invested heavily through the auction house in plans along the way. But now I have reached the point where the few plans I don't have are far and few in between.

I too would be interested in anyone that has good advice about increasing one's ability to make high quality gear.

For plans, check the "Trade Skills - list of trainers" link, click on Blacksmithing then Recipe List. (If you can get "Trade Skills - by Trade" to work it's better, but the page seems to be broken for me). It will list all the plans you can get, and if you click on the plan, it will tell you where it drops. The rest is all farming.
