I got to talking with a friend of mine (actually the guy that introduced me to the game) and he told me I should figure out what tradeskills I wanted to do. I've been reading around on the site about the different ones but I'd like other people's opinions before I make the choices. He suggested that I take up two gathering skills to make more money since I'm new to the game.

So what do you suggest for a lv14 Human Warrior?

You should take two gathering skills, and make one of them skinning. If you take herbalism/mining, you won't be able to keep both locaters up simultaneously. You should also get fishing - that's easy money.

Definitely skinning. There is always a market for leather. As for your other profession, I would suggest mining. Mining tends to bring in a lot of gold and it's pretty easy to find the gems that other people need to make items in other professions. Also, later on you should probably switch the skinning to blacksmithing. The good part about this is that your mining will already be a high level and you wont have to constantly scrounge for ore.

that or engeneering which is fun (just make sure u have a nice stock of leather tho)
as for leather being a good profit not necicarly. on my sever (greymane) it started as a good enuf profit but soon went south and i mean fast in a matter of days it went from .70-1.10g to the high price of 15s wow that is a market gone sour course at the same time linen wool silk and enchanting supplies went thru the roof im talking a small glimering shard from 30s to almost 1g ya i have to deal with a messed up market its up to u somtimes choosing a profession that provides armor or wep is also a good choice.
