Deviate Fish RecipeFollow

Yeah, I was just wondering about the Deviate fish recipe. It costs about 8 gold on my server, and I was just wondering if it was worth getting, or how much you could sell the stack of fish for in the AH. Thanks in advance.

On my server, the fish uncooked sells well like 6g a stack (20). However the cooked fish sells for 40s a pop. That's about 8g for a stack of 20 (I never sell them in stacks over five though).

On an old server like Hellscream, the Savory Deviate Delight recipe runs wildly from 25G to 100G. It is a one in one thousand drop from everything in the Barrens.

I ended up purchasing my recipe for 28 gold after farming for 6 hours with no luck. With Savory Deviate Delight selling for 75 silver each, the recipe has already paid for itself with profits.

Investing in the recipe is a worthwhile endeavour for those with the funds, as it will pay for itself so long as you fish up your own Deviates.

Considering the one in one thousand drop rate on the savory deviate delight recipe, my utmost honest advice to you is buy it. You'd make more money in the long run by purchasing it now and fishing deviates. It will pay for itself with profits.

It's not a get rich quick scheme, and all the time spent farming level 10-14 mobs for it isn't worth it. I could probably catch 50 or 60 gold worth of Deviate Fish in the 6 hours I spent trying to farm up the recipe. Once I really thought about that, I bought it instead, and in hindsight I know it's what I should've done in the first place.

This probably was incredibly rare, but I got this recipe and the recipe for Elixir of Giant Growth (which also uses the fish) yesterday. I was in Northwatch Hold, and was shocked when both dropped within ten minutes and about ten feet of each other. Smiley: eek

bhahaha im the luckiest dude alive. i started from ratchet, killing all those patriarchs and all, got to the quilboars, and mass murdered again. five minutes in, i saw that lv. 15 elite pig, slaughtered it, and *beep* there it was.
it seems that normal deviate fish give you random buffs and debuffs (one put me to sleep for about 30 seconds). the cooked ones turn you into pirates. you can right-click on the pirate buff to cancel it, but it lasts an hour anyway.
imagine if we got everyone to morph into pirates. my god, how many "yarr!!!"s would there be??

if you really wanna make a profit from the recipe, try this. put the recipe up for auction at the AH. put it up for like 1 gold, no buy-out, for 24 hours. ppl would think it's cheap, and keep paying for it. after about 40 ppl, that'd be almost 40g!

Definitely worth it. Couldn't afford it at first, so my guild leader and I went fifty-fifty on it. I learned it and now I do the deviate cooking for the guild. Not a bad price to pay for the recipe tho. I'm making enough gold off the deviate delight to be content (about 10g a stack on my server). I still like fishing stonescale eel better tho.
