Grind?...
I dont know, why do you want to race him...

what you want to do is quest...not grind... byquesting you will not only kill pve's but also get the exp for the quests. then when you finish that zone, you want to find the other zone of the same level and do the quests there... this is called stack the zones. this will help you level vary quickly. good luck!

it depends on the quests. The quests that make you go out and kill critters are best, since you are grinding and questing at the same time. On the contest server, most people went to 50 by questing, and killing anything that would give XP to and from quest completion. What you want to do is maximize XP, while minimizing down-time. I find that killing critters around my own level (+-1) is best for grinding.

Don't do instances unless you know you're going to survive (e.g. wait until the instance is green). Choosing the right group for running instances minimizes downtime. Don't go in without a priest and a tank, and leave the group if they aren't any good. You are going for max XP, not for teaching healers and tanks how to do their jobs.

On the other hand, the game is not a race. Concentrating on levelling will leave you poor, with no trade skills, and little or no fun. Join a guild and take your time. You'll enjoy it more. When your friend reaches 60 and is still scrabbling to get money for his L40 mount, you can sit back and laugh at him as a level 50 who has lots of gold, a mount, and twinked gear.

Grinding and racing to 60 is just a desire to go insane. Questing IMO(in my opinion), is probably you best bet to having a good amount of money, items and most importantly, fun.

Grinding may get you:
-Extremely hard to get world drops
-Some reputation(depending on monsters)
-Bits of money
-Vendor trash

Questing may get you:
-Even more experience after getting experience
-Items that arent dropped by mobs
-More reputation with factions
-Good pay
-A long chain worth more experience and useful things(The onyxia quest chain is 10+ quests)

A minor list of what the two can do for you.

I agree with the questing path. If you really want to quest fast, know what you are doing. This is a great site to look up quests and read tips from those who have done the quests. Know what you are going after and where it can be found. Look at maps of quest items so you know where to go. If you don't find the necessary info here, try other sites or google search for info. You will have the fun of doing the quests, as well as get xp from the mobs you kill.

You should also do some grinding to keep things interesting. I like to see when the next level is within reach, then go after a little grinding to finish off the level. While you are doing all that leveling, do pick up a gathering profession so you can collect items to sell allong the way.

When i leveled up i would grab all of the quests i could from -5 to +9~ my level. I would have my friend help me, or I would try to do them all at once and turn them in total. While it makes a large chunk of XP it is a waste because now you are screwed for the future levels.

"all of the quests"? I seriously doubt that. There are more quests for each level than can fit into your log. I never ran out of quests on my way to 60, and even now, my log is still pretty full. What I think you might have done is "many quests for a particular zone", rather than "all quests for all zones".

Explore. Not only do you get XP from exploring, but you find other areas your lvl to quest in. I've known a lot of people who complain that they don't level fast, but they never want to leave a specific area until all the quests in that area are done. This might be fun, but you will not lvl quickly.

well i can't believe you think people are gonna fall for your act.
your grammar is actually not bad... but the phonetic misspellings give you away.
if you really want to pose as a foreigner, you need to switch it up with excellent spelling and horrible grammar, not vice versa.

I admit that I only had 500G at 50, but I'd spent more than 1200 on regearing every couple of levels from 30 on. Gold is easy. The most common excuses for not having gold are:

A) It's boring
B) I'd rather be <insert other activity of choice here>
C) It takes too much time
D) It's not fun

What all these excuses point to is that people are poor BY CHOICE. They don't have to be poor if they spend even a little time and effort.

You know what's even worse? The fact that I'm one of the people who falls into all 4 categories there and I still rarely have money problems. And I'd say my character has some of the best gear money can buy at this point(The 3 BoE Magisters and a Robe of the Archmage). If people would only take enough time to pay attention and do a little research, they'd find ways to make huge profits by crafting. My income may be a little sporadic and definitely not the kind of money I'd make if I'd devote a little more time to fishing, but it's more than enough to keep my main well geared, make 3 twinks, and feed my runecloth habit(Darnassus rep so I can ride a tiger).

The cost? I had to put in the effort to skill up my crafting skill and a few hours to do some research. I take about 20 mins every few days to craft things while AFK. Yet people aren't even willing to put in that kind of effort.
