Engineering ... Did I ***** up?Follow

I had the Manual to go towards either goblin or gnome.

I decided initially on gnome went to the guy in booty but then changed my mind before signing his charter and abandoned the quest altogether. Now I have no manual and tinkerwiz won't give me a new one. Am I hooped?

No, you are not screwed. Try dropping the quest. When you accept it again you will get a new book. I would suggest goblin. It is awsome

FYI, in the next patch it's no longer a permanent choice.

Now that’s something I’ve not read before. Did you read that in the patch notes? It would be a very significant change to the way Blizzard has set up Professions, not just engineering.

It depends. If one of them says you need "goblin" or "gnomish" engineering then you may have made it before, but you wont be able to use it the 2nd time around when switched that specialization.

However, if it doesn't say that but just one of the specializations was needed to make it and every engineer can use it, then yes you will be able to have several such items.

It's a good change for those who just decided they chose the wrong one or want to change for some other reason. But keep in mind, you have to re-work the tradeskill from 0 again.
