There's a guide. READ IT. You will never be forced to use rare spawns (siler, gold, truesilver) to level. Smelting gets you minimal points; only mining the actual node can level you to the next type of ore. Tin remains green into the iron range, so mine tin until you get to iron's level (125, I believe). There is a sticky with a link to the guide at the top of this forum, so use that if you want to know what levels you need to mine, and other generally useful knowledge.

There is a spider cave in Wetlands vic. 55,66 which has Incendicite ore. It is not good for anything except for an Alliance turn-in quest in Dun Morogh, but the nodes are yellow at skill level 100. A level 40 Shammy should have no trouble with the lvl 22 spiders in the cave or with the occasional Alliance character who enters for the quest.

When I took my Pally in there, he skilled up from 103-126 without even paying any attention to it. btw, there are also tin and copper nodes in the cave, and the spiders occasionally drop Spider's Silk and also have a slightly better than normal drop rate of lvl 12-16 green stuff, so your visit will not be totally skill-up justified.
