It seems that we start with the Faction at 0/3000 Neutral on this ... and my question is, which quests exactly can we do to get to Friendly, so we can start getting the items for the upper level Trade Skills?
Is it worth it? (Tribal Leatherworking-300/300-Skinning) I have many Dark Iron Residue bits to turn in already, but faction sits as mentioned above.

You have to do all the quests in searing Gorge at thorium point and then do the repeatable quest "What the Flux" over and over again until you get to friendly, then i believe you can turn in the residue.
u only do the flux quest once, then that unlocks ones to get to friendly, then u unlock residue turn in quests, but the flux quest is just a one time thing to open up the rep turn in quests
