Perfect Deviate ScalesFollow

I need to get a TON of these, and im a noob so i dont have the gold to buy them. Does one have to enter the instance to get them to drop from the raptors? or can I just solo the ones outside of the instance?

If you want a TON of these, get ready to spend a ton of time farming/skinning for them. They're a rare drop (hence why they sell for 1g per on my server), and I spent three hours in the caverns to get the ten Perfect Deviate Scales I needed to make my belt. I got 4 as drops, 6 from skinning.

But no, you don't have to actually enter the instance to get them. I got two of mine in the entrance.

I was trying to get the Belt of the Fang for my lvl 20-s Druid, and after much frustration (about 20+ boss kills) and no drop, I decided to craft the Deviate Scale belt, of which I had to farm for the scales. Took me a couple hours to get 10 from drops and skinning, even as a lvl 60. Yes, you can get them in or out of the instance.
