Enchanting???Follow

#1 Jan 31 2006 at 7:41 PM Rating: Decent
I have a lvl 42 dwarf hunter with mining/armorsmith. I recentley started a human mage, he is a tailor/enchanter. The tailoring is easy enough but I dont't know where to begin on the enchanting. Is there any place where the mobs drop materials used in enchanting or do I need to buy them all? Any help would be appreciated, hints, advice, etc. thanks all.

Well... Items come from Disenchanting greens, blues and purple gear. Obviously start with the greens... I suggest getting rid of tailoring and go with mining, so you can make enough money to buy mats as well.... makes life easier... at lvl 35 I grinded to 300 Skill... which totally sucked... why I did it I don't know.. Just remember at 35 to go to uldaman and bring all your mats to get all the plans ...so you don't have to make multiple trips

id say keep Tailoring, it will keep you whit a suplay of useless items that you can disenchant.

Question chris: I went to ulda solo awhile ago, but when I got to where annora was supposed to be, there were only a crap load of scorpions. Do I have to kill the scorpions to make her appear?

what is the best way to get a lot of expirience of enchanting now i have apprentice 12/75 i wanna go higher

To level enchanting keep a pair of junk bracers/boots/etc around in the bank so you dont have to find someone who wants your enchants. Just level that way. To the scorpion question...yes you need to kill them all then she will walk out.

Great advice. You can enchant the same item over and over to increase your skill quickly. Also, you'll most likely need to buy a lot of your materials at the auction house. When looking for materials, do not search in reagents only. Most of the dusts and essences you'll need do not appear there for some reason. With enough cash, you can get your skill up to 200 in a day or so...which is the level you start to get some really useful enchants.

Btw - Where can the Master Enchanter for the Horde be found? The only Master listed on the site is Annora <Master Enchanter> located in Uldaman.

Ok most of these guys are retarded, stick with tailor/enchanting and send all the greens and cloth drops to your chanter... with the cloth make the cheapest green item you and and DE them... and DE all the **** your main sends you... you will get to 250 in no time at all.. I was lvl 225 chanter at lvl 20 and had to wait to do ULDA so i could get more skill... You shouldn't have to buy any mats at all unless you want to buy cloth... stacks of rune on gorgonash go for like 2g i bid 1 on all that i can and make runecloth headbands that DE into 2-6dreamdust or lesser eternal essence... the cloth can make 4 bolts and the headband cost 3 and 1 runethread(45s)... i sell stacks of dream dust for 4-10g... you do the math its an easy way to make bank

i have a 14 pally who's enchanting lvl is up to 90 right now i did it the old fashion way i asked lvl 60's for their greens that that don't want.

but i had taloring too,but it was going to slow for me.

so my advice is to make a few 60 friends and bum off them like i did!!!

Instead of making a new thread I'll post in this one.

I picked up enchanting with my hunter at level 45.

I have since gotten it up to a whopping 161...

Alot of my orange enchants require Astral Essence. Lesser/Greater

Is there a certain level of items I need to DE to get this crap? I have about 5 lessers I think.

I also have about 300 vision dust.

I'm really mad. I need to get to lvl 20 to lvl my enchanting skill anymore. I'm already at 150 and i have more mats but i'm only lvl 16, so i have to lvl up to 20 to get my skill up to 225. this is a real problem for me because i'm not a power lvler it takes me awhile to lvl up once what can i do to help me lvl?

maybe if you fought for your money instead of buying gold you would lvl a little.

Hey Kturner, I don't know the specifics for that question, but the Enchantrix mod you can download will tell you what things will most likely DE into. I've found it to be 95% accurate so far.

I started at 33-34, makes it easier becuase i have enough money to buy out all low level green items in the AH to DE, just do this and grind low-level instances like RFC. There are a few green drops there.

I did excactly the same:
main: lvl 43 warrior (mining , BS)
alt: human mage (tailoring , enchanting)

My advice:

Keep doing it!
tailoring is good for your mage and (dis)enchanting is good for your money

and of course its fun to play something/one else for a change..

I like the completly different caracter called Tirra.

Attempted to get Enchantrix for myself yet I'm unable to get it to work. Is it not compatible after 3.9 or am I missing something? I unzipped the file and just put it in my WoW folder. Thank you.

if i were you i would either stay tailor or get herbalism i mean on draka dont know bout other servers, but i can get 5g for a stack of briarthorn and u turn peacebloom into the war effort people then disenchant the item that u get from the box :D
well thats how i do it at least. gl

Yah, to get Annora to spawn, kill the scorpids. And she is the only master enchanter. The guy in Sunrock will only take you to 225.
