Hello everyone, I'm a level 60 lock on Dragonblight, with 300 Enchanting and 300 Skinning. I'm just looking for someone to try and influence me one way or another seeing as I can't make up my mind lol. I want to drop Skinning for Tailoring, but for some reason I'm very hesitant to do so. Normally I'd do it without a backwards glance seeing as I'm not much into skinning really, and would much rather prefer to be a tailor.

Then again I'm in an end game raid guild, and I'm not sure if we have a 300 tailor or not. If so then should I just have that person make me things, or should I take up Tailoring myself? Or should I keep making cash with skinning? OR! Should I just keep my tradeskills, and go MC my tier 1 epics? Someone convince me to do something or I'll be arguing with myself forever!

It's tough to do, but if I were in your shoes I would drop skinning. Enchanting takes to long to level up. It is also costs a lot of gold. At level 60 if you do not like tailoring then you can go back to skinning and level it back up fast and easy without losing much money.

Well i'm just going to point out one thing ... It's possible to craft som Bind On Pickup items with tayloring (Robe of the Void is an example) so even if you do have a taylor capable of making them for you ... that dosn't mean there still isn't somethings to gain.

In addition I find it useful to turn cloth into "Disenchant Fodder" Not sure how useful this is at 300 enchanting thought... so you may want to do your own research. It's just really somethings that you want to consider... really dropping skinning wouldn't cause any real perminent damage... You could get it back to 200+ in a couple days.

Switching professions takes a lot of work - I swapped my druid from herb/alch to skinning/LW at lvl 37, and getting the new profs up to the correct skill levels took a ridiculous amount of time (and I still ended up spending a lot of money on leather). I didn't actually get my LWing skill up to scratch until I was mid 50s.

It's probably worth it if there are tailoring items you particularly want, but just be prepared to put in a massive amount of time and effort (and probably money) to get there!
