I have searched all over here and thottbot and I cannot find how I can smelt Dark iron ore, I have always heard it was a quest that I needed to do to be able to but now Im not sure.

Gather up 10 Truesilver, 20 Gold, 2 Star Rubies. Then take a trip to BRD and hunt down a dwarf ghost. Trade him the goodies for the ability to smelt the dark iron
what are the minimuns to be able to melt dark iron?

BRD = Black Rock Depths, as far as the minimum skill level needed I have no idea, haven't gotten that far yet with my mining.

Well, I dont know what the minimum is , I went with 275 Mining and got the "smelt" just bring the previously stated items and complete the objective and oyu will get the plans
OK tnx but does anybody knows the cosmic courds for the dwarf in BRD?

Well if you are to low to mine. it says the skill level you need to have to mine te vein. In the case of Dasrk Iron skill level of 250 is required.

From what my friend told me its 225 to smelt. We have a business where he "stealth smelts" dark iron. Not 100% sure though.

The dwarf you want to talk to is Gloom'rel Make sure to tell the party that you want to do the quest first. If they talk to Doom'rel first and start the event you have to reset the instance for him to come back. Just tag along on a attunement or emperor run
