Recommended Leatherworking Path for a HunterFollow

Hello,

I have talked to some players about a good leatherworking path for a hunter. Some of the feedback has suggested to take the dragonscale path. After reviewing some of the attributes of elemental and tribal leatherworking; it looks like elemental has nice agi and sta characteristics that might benefit a ranged class such as a hunter. I am looking for some feedback from more experienced leatherworkers please. Thanks for the input.

I am going Elemental. To me the other two have little to offer a hunter. Mail is ok.... but Agi and Stam are more important (you should not be getting into much melee as a hunter). IMHO if you can find mail gear with high stats then go for it, but don't choose mail over stats.

Also it seems like Elemental has more Fire resist gear for MC runs (I have heard you need about 120).

I did have a pair of the dragonscale gauntlets made for me because of the +1% crit, but besides that I could do without the dragonscale stuff.

That is what I was looking at as well. I thought the ac bonus from mail might be nice, but as you said, I rarely take melee damage for too long. I typically disengage let the pet get agro and go ranged again. Thanks for your feedback it was helpful.

ok well..
1. Dragonscale gives u +% to crit (which is around 70 or so agility for a hunter)
2. Black Dragonscale set is one of the best for a hunter b4 u get elements or beast stalker.
3. u only need 90 fire resist which u can get from a cloak and 2 rings and a necklace.
-learn2play, kthx
